Harmony Homestay
A warm welcome to our Harmony Homestay Bed and Breakfast website. Charlie and Nige have now had 3 summer seasons
under their belts, providing quality B&B accommodation to a valued international clientele from all over the
globe and all walks of life.
People come to Cornwall for many reasons with many first experiencing the county through the power of film and
television. Rosamunde Pilcher, born at Lelant, conjures a warm, rose-tinted, quintessentially English aura to
her writing style and many film makers come here to capture that mood in their film locations with marvellous
scenic backdrops to all the action. Doc Martin, another popular TV show, portrays the beauty of Cornwall in
many ways too, looking through the life of the fictional characters set in idyllic surroundings. Being
situated in St Austell we are within easy reach of many of these excellent film locations and with our knowledge we
can help you explore Cornwall in a fun and methodical way so you get the most out of your
holiday.
We offer a cosy, warm, friendly base from which you can explore all the delights of
Cornwall
, conveniently situated to make all the usual sight-seeing destinations a short trip away. Days out could also
include a few unusual places to visit, that you might not have considered if you tap in to your hosts source of
local knowledge.

Your hosts Charlie and Nige have created a modern, comfortable,
stylish retreat with spacious ensuite bedrooms. Our letting rooms each have their own names. They are
Tre, Pol and Pen, good old Cornish prefixes and the names of the geese that Charlie helped to look after
during his time at the Roseland School at Tregony, not so far away.
Take a look at the testimonial pages or follow the trip advisor link to see what our
departing guests really thought of their experiences here at Harmony once they had time to reflect on
their stay. We realise that self recommendation is no
recommendation and we value the opinions of those of you who have stayed. The common feedback threads appear
to be........how comfortable the beds are...........how quiet it is..........what a super
shower............not to mention how tasty Charlie’s breakfast’s can be. Our personal indicator this year has
been the number of returning guests we have greeted, who have come back to find out more about Cornwall and
the beauty it holds, even in a recession.
With our little bit of insider information and local knowledge we can try to make your stay that extra bit special
and as enjoyable as we can. We really want you to fall in love with our glorious county.
We provide you with bed and breakfast, the first meal of the day being so important to set you
up allowing you enough energy to explore the wonders of our beautiful county. You will have beaches and
coastline to explore, famous gardens and the Eden project to conquer, wooded valleys to walk through, fishing villages to catch glimpses of,
historic country houses, castles and National Trust sites to visit, smugglers and wreckers stories to
discover. So much to do during your visit.
At breakfast, which is served at our dining table, we offer a range of cereals, fruit and fruit
juices followed by a full English breakfast, which can be adjusted to cater for your individual needs, all at
a time to suit you where possible, bearing in mind you are on holiday.

Harmony is a great place for friends to stay and catch up!
St Austell is ideally placed in Mid Cornwall
as a base to explore the whole County of Cornwall. The town is well served by the main line Paddington to
Penzance railway line and trains run frequently throughout the day with the sleeper service to Paddington
departing just after 2300hrs. The National Express and local bus network also operate from the railway station
so arriving here by train allows you to navigate the county well by public transport. The Eden Project also has
a regular bus service from here. Harmony Homestay B&B is a short taxi ride or short walk from the railway/
bus/coach station. We can
also help you to arrange your own Newquay Airport transfers using a local private hire or taxi
company. Our bed & breakfast has great rural Cornish
views yet is so convenient for St Austell town centre.
St Austell, believe it or not, lies on St Austell Bay which is
officially regarded as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is right on our doorstep. Please ask Charlie or
Nige for some walk details and they will gladly help you to discover the area for yourself with some tales of
the ‘Saucy Jo’ , silver mining and a local sculptor, who’s works you can see from the coast path down at Hallane
Mill, to punctuate the physical activity of walking and exploring. There are great photo opportunities on the coast path local to St Austell
without the need to trek for miles.
Go on, see for yourself..........you know you want to.
Don’t just take our word for all this. Come
and find out for yourself. A warm welcome awaits you.

We are a Non Smoking Establishment and sorry
we are unable to cater for pets.
